The Munsterman Group LLC is a residential building design firm located on the north shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe. Serving mainly California, Montana, Oregon, Idaho and Arizona, we specialize in combining state-of-the-art construction technologies and building science with authentic construction techniques, creating unique home design solutions infused with a sensitivity to both craft and detail. Ours is the continuing evolution of a business started in 1987 by Dale Munsterman, a Certified Professional Building Designer with the American Institute of Building Design. Having worked hands-on in various disciplines within the construction industry for many years, our expertise lies in providing balance. We feel that consistently striving for an appropriate balance between remarkable designs that inspire, yet remain extremely buildable, is the real key to design finesse. Our goal is to design it beautifully the first time and then build it to last. Over the years, we have found success by remaining a small boutique company, enabling each client to receive a superior level of service.
As the first Certified Passive House Consultant in the Sierra Nevada, our dedication to creating beautiful, functional, durable, and earth-friendly homes is unsurpassed. As a Certified Green Professional member of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), we extend our commitment beyond energy-efficiency, to water and resource conservation, using sustainable and recycled products, and providing superior indoor air quality.
